MODULE 2/3/4
INTENSIVE WEEK–FOUNDATIONS OF TANTRA YOGA / ADVANCED ASANA / SEQUENCING

The ancient tradition of Tantra maps the entire spectrum and sacred journey of Hatha Yoga. According to its teachings, asana––when approached systematically––is a gateway to unlock the profound potential of practice.

In this immersive training we journey into the foundations for practicing and teaching Tantra Yoga, focusing on three of the most vital principles that illumine tantra’s unique contribution to yoga practice. Throughout our days together we will study and experience the unique methods related each of these three themes: Moon, Sun, Fire / Tantra and Guna / Lotus of the Heart

STAGE 1. MOON, SUN, FIRE
Mind, Energy and Spirit. Depending on your intention, the way you practice should change. Learning how and when to modify your practice and apply specific techniques of hatha is key to ensuring that your practice meets your needs–essential to achieve lasting happiness and success.

STAGE 2. TANTRA AND GUNA
Understanding ourselves in light of the Gunas––the three essential attributes or qualities of the natural world––may well be the yogic tradition’s most essential teaching on mastering both our inner and outer universe. Learn how different approaches influence these subtle attributes and how we use this knowledge to fulfill individual (or group) needs, unfold higher potentials and achieve the promise of practice.

STAGE 3. PRANA SHAKTI
Prana (lifeforce) is the great mover, animating all physiological and mental activity. From the view of tantra, a vital intention of yoga practice is to ensure that we shape prana so that it helps us consistently move in a positive, life-affirming direction––supporting our growth and evolution. Integrating the core teachings of Yoga and Tantra, you will deepen your connection to life-force while exploring the principles that connect you to prana, through asana, pranayama and meditation for healing, balance and personal evolution.

MODULE 5
INTRODUCTION TO YOGA NIDRA AND YOGA AS A TOOL FOR PREGNANCY, BIRTH, AND POSTPARTUM

Over the course of these days, Nadja will introduce you to the support for women during the profound and transformative phase of becoming a mother. This period, often marked by both physical and emotional changes, calls for a mindful approach to nurturing both body and mind. Yoga provides an array of practices, particularly breath and relaxation methods, which offer expectant mothers a reservoir of strength, calm, and resilience.

A central focus of this Module will be the practice of Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation technique known for its profound capacity to induce deep relaxation and rejuvenation. You will explore this practice in depth, recognizing its far-reaching benefits beyond pregnancy. For pregnant women, Yoga Nidra offers a much-needed sanctuary of rest and restoration, addressing the challenges of fatigue, anxiety, and emotional fluctuations. For those who are not pregnant, this practice can serve as a powerful tool to relieve stress, improve sleep quality, and promote overall well-being.

Whether you are preparing to support pregnant women through their transition into motherhood or simply seeking to deepen your understanding the value of Yoga in times of deep transition, these practices will equip you with valuable knowledge and experience to guide others on their journey.
